Subject: There is no email program associated to perform the requested action.
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Install
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always

After installing Lotus Notes on a Windows 7 64-bit client, I have the following error when I would like to send a file using the MAILTO protocol:

There is no email program associated to perform the requested action.

I checked a lot already if Notes is the default mail app, if it is connected to MAILTO. So far I can oversee, all conditions are met. I even have thrown away the office installation to avoid any confusion with Outlook.

Is there any hint for tackling this issue?
